One faceted scarlet red sapphire sits at the focal of this hand-sculpted ring. Originally created in wax, the "crater" texture on this ring comes from the creation process: First it's sculpted in wax, altered with a hot tool, then cast into solid 14k gold. The sapphire goes through the entire casting process, with molten metal literally flowing around it to create the organic setting.
