Spotlight: My Crush on The Proper Pinwheel

Do you guys have blogs that you just love? Sometimes there are these special places online where everything is beautiful and you just can’t wait for the next post to show up in your feed. I’m lucky enough to have found a few of those special corners of the interwebs and today I’m going to tell you about one of them – The Proper Pinwheel.

For those of you unfamiliar with TPP (that’s right, I just made up my own acronym), here’s a basic rundown of what it’s all about:

The Proper Pinwheel was started by Lexy Ward as a place to catalogue inspiration for entertaining in all forms. She features DIY projects, design, fashion, weddings, and the occasional plug for funnel cakes and other fried foods. The growth in the last year has been tremendous and Lexy finds that she has her hands in a little bit of everything these days. To name a few, she’s a contributor for The Neighborhood at Vivint, managing social media for Altitude Design Summit, as well as contributing to their blog, and is the creative mind behind the backdrops and props for OnomonoMEDIA. Lexy is very passionate about all things party and hopes that, with her blog, she can inspire others to entertain with new and original ideas. One of the themes at The Proper Pinwheel is “celebrating the big and small,” and that’s precisely what I find most inspiring about the site. From patterned party cups to full features on particular parties , Lexy covers all aspects of celebration. On top of that, she gathers everyday items that you can buy or DIY to make life more beautiful. (And honestly, who doesn’t want more beauty in their life?) Her weekly feature Fresh Find Friday  is one that I look forward to each week. Here are a couple of my favorite Fresh Finds so far:

These awesome DIY glass pendant lights. Isn’t the ombre to die for?

Thanks for all the inspiration and eye candy, Lexy! Keep it coming!
